Undoubtedly, you’ve noticed an uptick in discussions about workplace wellbeing and resilience as people continue to confront the changes caused by the pandemic. Only about half of the global leaders surveyed by Playmakers Solutions felt comfortable revealing wellbeing struggles to their employer because of their own need to “stand strong” as leaders.
This creates a domino effect where leaders do not request needed resources and accommodations and therefore do not adequately supply those things to the people in their charge.
Now more than ever, it is important for leaders and their employers to receive support for their well-being, including their mental health. In this power breakfast, Tiffany Yvonne will help equip leaders, managers, and HR professionals to better understand and use emotional intelligence as they look to attract, lead, and retain top talent.
This type of EQ is a pre-requisite for the other ways that workplace wellness manifests to create a happy, engaged, resilient and results-driven workplace.
Key Takeaways:
- How the concept of emotional intelligence connects to workplace wellbeing, mental health, joy on the job, and retention
- How to build emotional intelligence among work teams
- The role emotional intelligence plays in employee well-being – happiness, engagement, resilience– and performance at work
